With Halloween just around the corner, many people are hard at work to get their costumes just right. For those looking to go beyond the clichéd ghost, skeleton, or Breaking Bad costume, coming up with the right one can be tricky. One man, however, has come up with a perfect, original, showstopping, outside-of-the-box costume.
Local homeowner Jacqueline O’Lantern says they were at home late when a special trick-or-treater caught their eye. “First, he came in through my window instead of knocking at the front door, so that was interesting. What really grabbed me, though, was the burglar costume he had. It looked so authentic, just like the ones I’ve seen in movies and Looney Tunes! I just had to give him multiple full-size Snickers bars. I also appreciate that it was an adult instead of some little kid. Really adds to their ambiance. Most people think Halloween is just for the young ones, but grown-ups need candy even more! I appreciate that this one wasn’t peer pressured by society into staying home.” O’Lantern also noted that, by sheer coincidence, her TV and toaster have since gone missing.
When pressed for comment, the costume-wearer declined to give his name and kept his face turned away from our Boundary correspondent. All he was willing to say was, “You can’t fool me. I know the boys in blue have people working undercover,” before hopping into a white van parked nearby.
