Fresh New Face Announces Campaign for Head of Liberal Party

After Justin Trudeau’s recent stepping down as liberal party leader, Canadians are left to wonder who will be on the ballot in the coming election. Plenty of names have been thrown around, like former Bank of Canada governor Mark Carney, former finance minister Chrystia Freeland, and even the beloved Meric Gertler. The race is set to take place in March, as leadership is concerned a poll during January would be impacted by voters who are “too open minded” about 2025 and the future of democracy.

It’s anyone’s game at this point, but many Canadians are hoping for a new face to represent

the party, someone completely unrecognizable. A new candidate has announced intentions to campaign, identifying himself as “Aladdin.”

Aladdin’s campaign is based in values of diversity, equity, and inclusion, and he has cited intention to focus on critical issues such as American tariffs, tax breaks, and Quebec separatism. When complimented on his tan, the politician noted it was from a recent trip to Mar-A-Lago.

Supporters of Aladdin’s campaign have stated that he could be the savior that this country needs most, and that Canadians who distrust the governments’s history of nepotism should trust his fresh, inexperienced face.

The candidate is currently working toward gaining the $350,000 necessary to enter the race, and is searching for donors as much of his income has been dedicated to divorce court.
