Heartbreaking: Prof Didn’t Receive a Single Valentine’s Day Kiss From His Students

Jonah Wineberg

Valentine’s Day is a difficult time for many, as it is often the ones with the most love to give who are left with no one to share it. This is true of Professor McVickland, who was left heartbroken after not getting a single kiss from his students on the most romantic day of the year.

In spite of dropping hints and flirting with the girls in the front row of his first-year English class all semester, McVickland went home to his wife empty-handed. “It just feels like I’m putting all this work in for nothing,” remarked McVickland. “I guess I’m nothing more than a professor to them.”

McVickland even went out of his way to set the appropriate atmosphere for his success; dimming the lights, playing romantic songs before class, and calling all the comments from his male students, or his “competition,” stupid. Nevertheless, these freshmen showed no appreciation for their hard-working professor. McVickland was reportedly so upset that he could barely eat the roast his wife made for him that evening.
