Lesbian Overjoyed by "Male" Strike

Many Canadians are scrambling due to the Canada Post Strike, with concerns over holiday shopping, Black Friday, and returning the package that has been sitting under their bed for for several months.

However, one student is thrilled at the strike, but potentially for the wrong reasons. Nicole LaFleur (she/they), has been celebrating these past weeks, allegedly with the opinion that Canada Post workers are, “finally staying in their place,” and “leaving her alone.”

We at The Boundary were intrigued by LaFleur’s opinions on the matter, and requested a comment. Her statement was as follows:

“These men have been driving me insane, they’re useless. They treat women horribly, and it’s wonderful that they’ve realized their place and taken some time to reflect. The strike is a chance for straight women to experience freedom from their shackles…and to have time to maybe hang out with me.”

When asked if they were aware that women are also able to be postal workers, they played with their carabiner and questioned, “what Canada post had to do with this.”

Our representative explained the nature of the strike and the interview, finding that LaFleur had mistaken the “mail” strike for a “male” strike. We at The Boundary supported her through this realization, as we too know that it can be easy to mix up words.

LaFleur made one final comment:

“At least I know why my Clairo vinyl hasn’t come in yet, this explains a lot.”
